About Us
Studio 1 Dance is a fun, safe place to learn the art form of dance.
We offer students a place to study different styles of dance and to
express their creativity through movement. Our goal is to educate
students from early childhood in anatomically correct dance
technique, dance history, choreography, and dance terminology in
the areas of ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop.
In addition, Studio 1 Dance offers progressive Cheernastics
instruction as well as dance team and cheerleading intensive
courses designed to aid those wishing to try out for local teams or
squads. We also offer Dance Conditioning designed to further
develop the dancer’s body or sculpt the non-dancer.
Our Dance Studio at Studio 1 Dance features over 1200 square feet
of space. We have safe, professional Timestep sprung dance
flooring – designed for multiple dance forms. Studio 1 Dance
features professional, wall-mounted, solid wood adjustable ballet
barres, full-length mirrors, a spacious waiting area, large windows
for viewing dancers on “Watch Me” days and a growing reference
library. Of course, since it is in the Shades Mountain Plaza, it has a
spacious parking lot and is convenient to all areas of Bluff Park
and the surrounding Hoover, Vestavia and Homewood areas.
