"Let us first teach little
children to breathe, to
vibrate, to feel, and to become
one with the general harmony
and movement of nature. Let
us first produce a beautiful
human being, a dancing
child.."
          ~Isadora Duncan

Ballet:   Instructors teach the Cecchetti method of Classical Ballet technique.  All of our Ballet classes
will include a Barre warm-up, stretching, Centre work including Adagio, Petit Allegro, and Turns, and
Across the floor exercises including Grande Allegro.  Students will learn Ballet vocabulary, technique,
and history.  Ballet is the most important style of dance to study for every classically trained dancer.
It is the foundation of technique in Jazz, Lyrical, Tap and Hip Hop.

Ballet I:  11-13 year old Classical Ballet Class
Ballet II: Teen Classical Ballet Class

Pointe:  In addition to regular Ballet classes we also offer a Pointe technique class.  This is not an
alternate style of ballet, but rather an additional skill that Ballet students acquire in their training.
Pointe work is never guaranteed for any student, physical limitations may not allow for Pointe work
for every dancer.  All students must be approved by the instructor before beginning classes as well as
checking with their physician.  Pointe students must also be enrolled in a Ballet class.

Jazz:  Our Jazz classes will help the dancer to gain strength, mobility, flexibility, and coordination.  All
classes consist of Warm-Up and stretching (which includes basic isolations, stretching, and
strengthening exercises), Center Work focusing on balance and control exercises, Across the Floors, and
Combinations.
*Ballet class in addition to Jazz will improve the development of the skills in this class.

Jazz I: 11-13 year old Jazz Class
Jazz II: Teen Jazz Class

Tap:  Classes begin with basic sounds and steps and progress to rhythms and multiple-step
combinations. Classes focus on recognizing the number of sounds created by each movement and
making the sounds clear and concise. Intricate footwork and syncopated rhythms are learned as the
class advances. Musicality is taught to advanced tappers through timing and weight transfer.

Tap I: 11-13 year old Tap Class
Tap II: Teen Tap Class

Hip Hop:  A fast-paced type of Jazz commonly seen in music videos.  Cutting-edge moves are taught
in an age-appropriate manner to family-friendly music. This type of dance focuses on style rather than
technique.  Classes are offered in Levels I-V

Cheernastics:  Focusing on safety, strength, flexibility and spirit, these classes cover motions, jumps,
stunts, cheers, chants, tumbling and cheer-style dance routines.  Classes are offered in Levels I - V
*Jazz class in addition to Cheer will improve the development of the skills in this class.
